1. Information we collect
When you log in: the account identifier, email address and display name provided by Google. Your email is used only to tell accounts apart and is not shown to other users.
While you use the service: stories, comments and photos you post, love and saved records, who you follow, direct messages, reports and blocks, and notifications.
When you connect: IP address and access time (for security and troubleshooting) and page usage statistics (Google Analytics).
2. How we use it
To show your stories and comments, send notifications, filter swearing and spam, produce AI replies and translations, keep people safe and improve the service.
3. Who processes it
We use these providers to run the service: Google (Firebase authentication and storage, Cloud SQL servers, Analytics), OpenAI (generating AI replies and translations, and checking stories and photos for swearing, spam and safety) and Anthropic (generating AI replies and translations). They may process information abroad, including in the United States.
OONYU does not provide your writing for AI training, and does not sell or hand over personal information for advertising.
4. What is public
For a public story, your name (or Anonymous if you post anonymously), the text, photos and time are visible to anyone. An anonymous story does not show your name, but the operator can see which account wrote it.
A story you share to the fediverse is delivered, with its photos, to other servers under the OONYU account name.
Direct messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation. For safety they pass through OpenAI's free moderation check when sent, and the operator can review messages that are reported. Messages are not translated and are never used for advertising.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep stories and comments until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account also deletes your stories, comments, photos, love, saved items and notifications. Access logs are kept only as long as security needs.
6. Your rights
You can delete your stories and your account at any time. Stories cannot be edited once shared, so to change one, delete it and post it again. For other requests to view, correct or delete data, write to hello@oonyu.com.
Mr. Latte members can download their own stories as one diary PDF from Settings. The PDF is made when you ask for it and sent right away, and we do not keep a copy on our servers. Membership is checked with your Mr. Latte account.
7. Age
This service is intended for adults aged 19 and over.
